Sloan Business Club recruits freshmen and sophomores interested in finance, consulting, or entrepreneurship each fall. SBC Week 2026 begins Monday, September 14, and applications are now open through Thursday, September 17. Our board is looking forward to meeting you.

You don’t need any business background. If you’re a freshman or sophomore curious about finance, consulting, or entrepreneurship, you’re who SBC Week is for.
Every new member starts in the semester-long Board Education Program, then joins one of the three initiatives.

What if I miss an event?
We know SBC Week overlaps with classes, sports, and other clubs’ recruiting, so missing an event won’t count against you. Come to as many as you can, and make the most of the ones you do attend: introduce yourself, ask questions, and get to know SBC members. A coffee chat is another great way to connect if you can’t make an evening event.
I can’t make Resume Review. What should I do?
Start with our resume template and sample resumes, which cover the format and content we look for. Resume Review itself is drop-in: SBC members give one-on-one feedback and there’s a queue, so you can stop by for any part of the evening rather than staying the whole time. If you still can’t make it, submit your strongest draft with your application.
Can I apply to SBC and other business clubs?
Of course. SBC doesn’t ask you to apply to us exclusively, and we encourage every candidate to explore the many opportunities on campus. Apply wherever you’re interested and see where you feel at home.
Do I have to attend every event?
Attendance isn’t required, but we highly encourage it. Each event is a chance to learn something different about SBC and meet more of our members, which helps you decide whether the club is a good fit and helps us get to know you. If a busy schedule gets in the way, come to what you can.
