Every new member starts in the semester-long Board Education Program, then joins one of the three initiatives.

When can I apply?
SBC recruits once a year during SBC Week, which takes place in September. Applications open at the start of the week and close at the end of it. Fall 2026 recruitment has wrapped up, so the next chance to apply is fall 2027. Join the mailing list to hear the dates as soon as they’re set.
Who is eligible?
Freshmen and sophomores. No business background is needed: the semester-long Board Education Program teaches the fundamentals of finance, consulting, and entrepreneurship from the ground up.
What if I miss an event during SBC Week?
We know SBC Week overlaps with classes, sports, and other clubs’ recruiting, so missing an event won’t count against you. Come to as many as you can, and make the most of the ones you do attend: introduce yourself, ask questions, and get to know SBC members. A coffee chat is another great way to connect if you can’t make an evening event.
Can I apply to SBC and other business clubs?
Of course. SBC doesn’t ask you to apply to us exclusively, and we encourage every candidate to explore the many opportunities on campus. Apply wherever you’re interested and see where you feel at home.
