Sloan Business Club is MIT's premier undergraduate business organization.
SBC is organized into three initiatives: Finance, Consulting, and Entrepreneurship. Once invited to join SBC, we start to develop members' skills and prepare them for the workplace through our intensive, semester-long, Board Education Program. Once completed, members join one of our three initiatives where they have the opportunity to continue honing their skills through in-depth analysis and real-world projects. Sloan Business Club offers its members access to an unparalleled network, exclusive recruiting opportunities, and most importantly, lifelong mentorship.
Our Sponsors and Partners
Initiatives
Finance
Members in the Finance Initiative participate in mock trading and an educational program comprising the fundamentals of valuation, global markets, economics, and trading. The Finance Initiative also evaluates public equity opportunities to give members practical investing experience.
Consulting
The Consulting Initiative connects our members and the general MIT population to the top consulting firms in the industry. Each year, as part of the Consulting Initiative, we partner with a local start-up or VC firm on a strategy or growth project to develop our members in a hands-on setting.
Entrepreneurship
At the Entrepreneurship Initiative, we work to spur entrepreneurial ventures among MIT undergraduates. Our current speaker series brings industry leaders to MIT, connecting them with students and promoting entrepreneurship.
Board Education Program
New club members learn fundamental business concepts in finance, consulting, and entrepreneurship during the Board Education Program (BEP). Near the end of the semester, BEP members conduct deep dives and present their projects, which range from stock pitches to start-up business models to strategy consulting.
